If you have woven tape and bands on a narrow, open-sided inkle loom and are ready to go further into the craft, take this class and learn the slightly more technical procedure of warping and weaving on a wider, closed sided inkle loom.
An inkle loom with an eight-inch weaving width will be yours to keep after this class. Each loom comes with a bevel edged inkle shuttle and a full set of spring wire heddles.
Their wide width and innovative shed changing mechanism makes it easier than ever to weave warp faced fabric be it narrow bands or fabric up to eight inches wide.
Class fee includes all materials including an inkle loom to keep. This one-day class is suitable for all experience levels including beginners with no prior weaving experience.
Guild member Judy Olsen will instruct this 4-hour class. Judy is an experienced weaver and instructor, and she has recently hosted open studios at the Guild Hall.
Nonrefundable registration fee for this class is $100 for SHG members and $125 for non-members. Class size is limited.
