Upcoming Guild Meetings & Other SHG Events

Regular, monthly guild meetings are typically held on the second Sunday afternoon of each month beginning at 1:3o PM. Meetings are held at Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane, 4340 West Whistalks Way.  However, check each listing as sometimes the location or date is different.

Meetings are informal, relaxed events where all weaving skill levels are encouraged to participate. The guild library of books, magazines, videos and equipment opens a few minutes before each meeting to allow time to browse.

Meetings typically begin with a very brief bit of business followed by a program given by a guest presenter or a guild member. Program topics include handweaving, felting, spinning, basket-making, and a variety of other subjects connected to the fiber arts. The program is followed by a short break after which members may share techniques, drafts, and current or past projects. Members are encouraged to bring their own work, examples of inspirations, or challenges they might like assistance with. Open discussion is welcome and encouraged!

Spokane Handweavers’ Guild also supports and participates in fiber arts events in our community and around the Pacific Northwest..

Coming up: Homemade vs Handmade: Sewing With Handwovens, April 2025, with Linda Kubik. Details to come.
