Participants will learn how to read and write 4 and 8 shaft profile drafts and block weave drafts – overshot, summer and winter, twill blocks, lace blocks and more. Students’ looms will each threaded with a different weave structure with the same block profile. Samples will be woven in a round robin format. This class is for advanced beginner or intermediate level weavers. Taught by Kristie Sherrodd of Blue Flag Handweaving Studio in Sandpoint, ID.

About the instructor:
Kristie Sherrodd is textile artist who weaves, knits and handspins yarn. Her studio in Sandpoint serves as her working studio, teaching venue and as a textile arts supply store. Before moving to Idaho in 2007, she lived for 25 years in Alaska where she sold her work extensively at craft shows and through galleries and also taught weaving, handspinning and other textile arts as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Alaska Southeast.
