- Large scale handwoven corduroy should make a great, thirsty bath mat.
- Close-up of cut and as yet uncut pile.
A corduroy weave rug is currently on member Kristie Sherrodd’s loom. Corduroy is woven with long floats over a plain weave ground. Every few inches the floats are snipped to produce a soft, fuzzy pile face ont he fabric. Kristie is using 8/4 cotton rug warp as the black warp and the dark green tabby weft. The pile is cotton, multi-strand Stranggarn (“string yarn”).
