In May of 2014 a number of Guild members agreed to take a challenge and played the Weavers’ Game from Anne Sutton’s book Ideas in Weaving. At our October meeting we were treated to the fabric results!
- Arlene’s challenge: • Very bright colors only • Include some Lurex or metallic • Use only one color • Paint the warp • Use silk
- Diane’s challenge: • Very pale colors only • Use a technique that requires pick-up • Use overspun yarn or elastic • Use silk • Use handspun yarn
- Doreen’s challenge: • Use only one color • Incorporate areas of double-cloth • Include Lurex or metallic • Use 2 yarns of very different thicknesses in the warp
